Why I'm Speaking Out About BTS Event Management and Trista Croce

Over the past year, I’ve been contacted by multiple people who have had deeply frustrating, emotionally draining, and financially damaging experiences with BTS Event Management and its founder, Trista Croce.

Most recently, I received a message from another concerned client:

*"We hired BTS for my daughter’s wedding about 15 months ahead of the wedding. Trista was super rude and wanted to keep us out of every negotiation with vendors. She also wouldn’t listen to inputs and always threatened my daughter that we were in breach of contract and on our own if we brought our own vendors. It was really toxic. They were always late with all items and did the bare minimum. About 11 months into this relationship, we fired them because we didn’t want the stress of having them during our main event.

We are trying to get our money back through our credit card company but it’s been rough. What was your experience with them?

Thanks for sharing in advance."*

This isn’t the first message like this I’ve received. It’s not even the second. I’ve heard from couples, parents, and wedding guests — all echoing similar frustrations with BTS Event Management’s poor communication, lack of professionalism, and combative approach.

So Why Am I Sharing This?

Because silence protects the people who continue to do harm. Trista Croce and her company, BTS Event Management, continue to advertise themselves as luxury wedding planners while delivering chaotic, unprofessional service that has left couples heartbroken and financially burdened.

We put our trust in this company and were met with:

  • High employee turnover

  • Missed deadlines

  • Poor communication

  • Budget mismanagement

  • Last-minute crises

  • Emotional stress

Our story is already public, but the more I hear from others, the more I realize that sharing these experiences is necessary. People deserve to make informed decisions when hiring a wedding planner. The goal isn’t revenge — it’s accountability, transparency, and helping others avoid the same disappointment.

If You're Considering BTS Event Management…

Please, do your research. Read reviews across multiple platforms. Reach out to former clients. And don’t ignore red flags — we did, and we paid for it.

If you’ve had a similar experience, I encourage you to speak out as well. These stories matter. They may be the warning someone else needs before they sign a contract they’ll regret.

The Unprofessional Final Weeks with Trista Croce and BTS Event Management: A Wedding Planning Nightmare

Planning a wedding should be exciting, but for us, the last days before the big event were a whirlwind of stress, confusion, and disappointment — all thanks to Trista Croce and BTS Event Management.

Just three days before our wedding, we found ourselves scrambling to finalize details that should have been completed weeks earlier. During a crucial Zoom call, my wife was so upset she couldn’t even bear to talk to Trista or the “lead” planner, Claire.

No Face Time, No Accountability

What made it worse? Trista never once turned her camera on during any of our multiple Zoom meetings. This lack of basic professionalism left us feeling ignored and disrespected. In contrast, we had to be fully engaged, trying to fix issues that were clearly not our responsibility.

Mystery Invoices and Missing Budgets

Over $10,000 in invoices showed up with mysterious service changes and extra charges, all while we had been chasing BTS for months to provide a budget—something Trista had agreed to deliver but repeatedly missed every timeline.

This lack of transparency made it impossible to track costs, and we suspect we were overcharged for many services.

Misspelled Names and Rushed Products

Even on that final call, I had to correct Trista on how to spell our last name. This careless rush caused misspellings and grammatical errors on printed products we paid for — details that felt so basic but were completely botched.

The Takeaway: Choose Your Wedding Planner Carefully

Our experience with Trista Croce and BTS Event Management showed us how critical it is to have a planner who communicates clearly, honors deadlines, and shows respect. Unfortunately, with BTS, we got the opposite.

If you're considering working with Trista Croce or BTS Events, we urge you to be cautious and demand transparency from the start.

My Biggest Regret: Not Firing BTS Event Management When the First Planner Quit

Hiring a wedding planner is supposed to make the process smoother, less stressful, and more enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience with Trista Croce and BTS Event Management did the opposite. Looking back, our biggest regret wasn’t the poor communication, the missed deadlines, or the careless mistakes — it was not walking away when the first red flag appeared.

That red flag? Our original planner quit shortly after we signed our contract.

At the time, we were reassured by Trista Croce and the BTS team that this was normal and not a cause for concern. But it was. That abrupt change set the tone for what would become a long and disappointing relationship with a wedding planning company that failed us in every way.

Early Signs of a Wedding Planning Failure

Once the first planner left, things went downhill fast. Communication became sporadic. Deadlines were missed. And most painfully, my wife — who had poured her heart into planning our big day — felt completely ignored. She voiced her concerns and was brushed off.

We were assigned five different planners over the course of our engagement. Each time, we had to start over — explaining our vision again, rehashing decisions, and hoping the new person would care enough to get it right. Spoiler: they didn’t.

Details slipped through the cracks. Our names were misspelled on documents days before the wedding. A vendor contract wasn’t reviewed correctly, causing us to lose a security deposit. These are not small mistakes. They are signs of a broken process and leadership that simply doesn’t value their clients.

Trista Croce’s Leadership at BTS Events

The constant staff turnover at BTS Event Management was more than inconvenient — it was disruptive and deeply unprofessional. And yet, Trista Croce, who owns the company, continued to downplay every concern we raised.

Instead of taking ownership, she offered reassurances that everything was “fine.” But it wasn’t. The lack of attention to detail, the absence of accountability, and the sheer emotional exhaustion we experienced were anything but fine.

What We Wish We Had Done

We wish we had trusted our instincts and fired BTS Events when the first planner quit. We wish we had listened to the warning signs when my wife felt like she was being dismissed and excluded. But like many couples, we wanted to believe it would work out.

If you’re planning your wedding and something feels off, don’t ignore it. The earlier you cut ties with the wrong vendor, the more time you have to find the right one.

We didn’t. And it cost us dearly.
