When you hire a wedding planner, you’re putting your trust (and often a significant amount of money) into someone who promises to make one of the most important days of your life stress-free and beautiful. That’s why it’s especially painful when that trust is broken.
In our case, we hired Trista Croce and BTS Event Management expecting professionalism, transparency, and follow-through. Instead, we were left with a long list of broken promises, vague invoices, and serious questions about where our money actually went.
We paid for services and items that were either never delivered or fell far short of what was promised. On top of that, every invoice included vague "service charges" that were never clearly explained. The one time we pushed back on one of these mysterious fees, it magically disappeared with no explanation other than being told, “Don’t worry about it.” That kind of response only raises more suspicion.
We're not alone. Since coming forward with our experience, we’ve heard from others who claim they were discouraged, or even threatened, when they tried to bring in outside vendors or contractors. The implication was clear: work with BTS’s preferred vendors (and pay their markup), or face resistance. This type of behavior raises serious red flags.
All of this leads us to an uncomfortable question:
Is Trista Croce misappropriating funds or stealing from her clients?
We can’t say definitively, but based on our experience and the stories others have shared, it’s a question worth asking.
We encourage others who have worked with Trista Croce or BTS Event Management to come forward and share their stories. Transparency and accountability matter, especially in an industry built on trust.
